The Summit Police Department have once again advised residents of a temporary bridge closure in the city due to tree removal.New Jersey Transit will be temporarily closing the bridge on Morris Avenue between Springfield Avenue and Kent Place Boulevard for tree removal work.Summit Police said the work is expected to take place from Wednesday, March 18 through Friday, March 20, between 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. The bridge is scheduled to be closed again after that on Saturday, March 21 from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.Summit Police advise motorists to use alternate routes of travel as heavy congestion in the area is expected.For more information, contact the Summit Police Department at 908-273-0051.
