Jefferson Continues Mitten-Trimmed Tree Tradition
Jefferson Elementary School's Mitten Tree is made in the spirit of holiday giving.

The Mitten Tree is a holiday tradition at Summit's . The tree stands in the school's main entrance and is decorated with student donations of warm hats, mittens, and scarves that will be distributed to local needy children. The Mitten Tree is coordinated by Jefferson's student council members and their advisors Joy Giamalva and Patricia Natale. The student council includes Justin Ammaturo, Cathering Singow, Ava Calabrese, Jacqueline Schroeder, Trey Richardson; back row, Nicole Giron, Bridget Cornog, Jackie Rojas, Sophie Li, Stephanie Giusto, Aidan Grazia, Will Hellings, Sarai Diaz and Jason Wang.
