Kate Spade Purse + Wallet Stolen From Car In Summit: Police
Several expensive items were taken from a car in Summit last week and a 2017 Audi was stolen on Sunday, according to police.
SUMMIT, NJ — Last week in Summit, a car was burglarized at a River Road business and another car was stolen from a Maple Street residence, according to the most recent police blotter.
Summit saw an additional car theft and $400 taken from a resident's car two weeks ago, according to police. More than 20 cars have been stolen in Summit this year to date.

On Thursday, Aug. 25 a resident told police that their car was burglarized while it was parked in the business parking lot on River Road between 6 p.m. to 7:35 p.m. When they returned to their car, the resident saw broken glass on the driver's seat and their purse was missing, police said.
The stolen items included one Kate Spade purse, a Kate Spade wallet and $200 in cash.

Then on Sunday, a car theft occurred at a home on Maple Street overnight, police said. The doors were unlocked with the key fob left inside the vehicle, according to police.
Taken was a gray 2017 Audi Q7, valued at $60,000, police said.
