We're excited to invite you to the Keys 2 Unity Concert, a benefit event for Keys 2 Success. This concert embodies the incredible power of music to bring people together. Join us for an afternoon filled with beautiful performances, great food, and meaningful connections.
This year, we’re honored to feature a wind quintet from the New Jersey Symphony, performing alongside our dedicated Practice-A-Thon participants. The concert will showcase a captivating fusion of musical styles—think classical piano, African drumming, soulful singing, and more—reminding us how music can bridge divides and create unity.
As we come together, we aim to raise $40,000 to support our students and their musical journeys. Every contribution, big or small, helps us create more opportunities for young musicians. If you can’t attend but would like to support our mission, you can donate here.
We hope you can join us for this special celebration of music and community. Together, we can create lasting memories and inspire one another.
Keys 2 Success brings quality music education to students starting in Pre-K in the most underserved areas of Newark. Free, daily piano lessons are delivered in a group setting in the students' own environment, where teachers and volunteers work to remove barriers and support students as they develop into future leaders.

Founder and Executive Director Dr. Jee-Hoon Krska established Keys 2 Success in 2016 after a doctorate from MIT and a career in the semiconductor industry– a career that would not have been possible without the skills, encouragement, and opportunities afforded to her through her piano education. When her family immigrated to the US when she was 11, they had very little, but they had a piano. Jee-Hoon was able to continue her piano education at Julliard pre-college, where one very special teacher took her under her wing and guided her through high school and onto MIT. During her career as an electrical engineer, she was involved in a series of community projects in Newark, and was inspired to establish Keys 2 Success to provide the same opportunities in music education that had changed the trajectory of her life.Growing from a dozen students in one Newark Public School in 2016, K2S now serves over 200 students from all over the city. Meeting students where they are– physically, emotionally, socially, culturally, and academically– has been the “key” to expanding our reach as our students’ skills and confidence grow. K2S has created a system of music education that is designed specifically for the Newark communities, rather than expecting them to conform to traditional systems, reimagining music education for all.
