New Parking Update For Drivers In Summit

SUMMIT, NJ — Residents have until just the end of the month to renew parking permits in the city.

All current tags are good until Oct. 31.

Permits are required for long-term municipal parking lots, garages, and the Municipal Transfer Station at 40 New Providence Ave.

Online registration is now available with new permits being valid from Nov. 1 through Oct. 31, 2026. Current holders can renew online on the city's website.

Appointments can also be made to renew in-person from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday to Friday.
