Recycling Collection Schedule Modified In Summit

Recycling pick-up will be adjusted due to the upcoming Labor Day holiday.

SUMMIT, NJ — The City of Summit has updated its recycling schedule in accordance with the holiday coming up.

There will be no recycling collection on Monday, Sept. 5 for Labor. The city does not collect recycling on any major holidays.

During holiday weeks, every collection following the holiday moves to the next day. For the week of Sept. 5, Monday collection will be pushed to Tuesday, Sept. 6.

Tuesday collection will be pushed to Wednesday, Sept. 7 and so on, ending with Friday collection moving to Saturday, Sept. 10.

Recycling items should be placed at the curb by 6 a.m. the morning of your pickup, or the night before, the city said.

You can use the SeeClickFix app or the Report a Concern module on the city website to report missed pickups: cityofsummit.org/reportaconcern.

Trash is still collected on holidays in Summit.
