Stay-cation Family Fun, Milling and Paving, Greenmarket This Week

What you need to know in Summit this week.

Here’s a look at what’s happening in Summit this week.

Stay-cation: There’s still time left of your Summer vacation, but you don’t need to travel far to have a good time. The Summit YMCA is hosting a “Stay-cation” all week featuring, “Christmas in August,” Zumba, game night, face painting and more. Download the full PDF of events, here.

Planning Board:
Two items are on the agenda for the Summit Planning board’s Monday night meeting that begins at 7:30 p.m. in the council chambers. Visit the agenda, here, for more information.

Paving:
On Tuesday the milling and paving of Valley View Avenue will be conducted until Wednesday. Access to driveways will be limited during Tuesday’s milling and completely prohibited on Wednesday. Residents should remove cars from driveways prior to 8 a.m. according to Summit PD. For any overnight street parking contact Summit Police Department at 908-273-0051.

Summer Greenmarket:
Every Thursday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. visit the Greenmarket between Beechwood Road and Springfield Avenue for fresh produce from 13 New Jersey farms.
