'Summit Has Pride' Event To Feature Drag Show This June

Summit's Pride event will include a concert from the Boy Band Project, a drag show, a film screening and much more.

SUMMIT, NJ — In honor of Pride month coming up, the Summit Department of Community Programs will host its annual LGBTQ+ "Summit Has Pride" event on Saturday, June 4.

The event will be held at the Village Green, located at 356 Broad Street, and will celebrate the LGBTQ+ community in Summit and surrounding areas.

Beginning at 6 p.m., the event will include a family-friendly drag show featuring local drag queen Octavia Anyae and guests. This will be followed by the Boy Band Project in concert at 7 p.m.

The event will conclude with a film screen of "3 Generations" — a story about how a New York teen, played by Elle Fanning, prepares to transition from female to male.

In addition to entertainment, the event will include educational displays from organizations serving the LGBTQ+ community. There will be special art activities, a temporary tattoo booth and more.
