Summit Municipal Golf Course to Open 45th Season
Nine-hole golf course is open to residents of the Chathams and all Union County.

The proudly announces the 2012 opening of the Summit Municipal Golf Couse for its 45th season. The “Muni” as it is known locally, is a Par-3, Nine Hole Golf Course located at 189 River Road in Summit. It will open for play on Saturday, April 14th, pending weather conditions and course playability.
The was designed and constructed on 13 acres of land that was once a private estate owned by the Vanerpoel family. The initial design was done by well-known golf architect Hal Purdy. It consists of nine fabulous holes. Summit made history as the first community to open a municipally built golf course in New Jersey.
Memberships are available to residents of Summit, Union County and the Chathams.

Returning members are welcome to register online and make credit card payments. Go to https://register.communitypass.net/summit .
Under “Register Now” select “Department of Community Programs – Recreation -”Select “2012 Golf and/or Pool” and click the “Register Now” button.

For those of you who may have forgotten your user name or password, DO NOT create a new account. Go to the Community Pass home page and click on Forget your Username or Password and it will be sent to your email address on file.
Folks interested in becoming members for the first time, are welcome to call the DCP Offices to get assistance in their first registration.
Corporate Memberships, Corporate Outings as well as Business Memberships are now available to businesses in Summit. Complete details are available at www.cityofsummit.org You can also play a virtual round of golf at the “Muni” while on the City website.
