Summit Pedestrian Struck, Hospitalized In Hit-And-Run Crash
Mountain Avenue residents with doorbell cameras are asked to look for footage of the vehicle that fled the Saturday crash, police said.

SUMMIT, NJ - Summit police are seeking a driver involved in a Saturday morning hit-and-run crash that hospitalized a 28-year-old pedestrian.
The crash occurred at around 5:30 a.m. at the intersection of Morris Avenue and Mountain Avenue, Summit Chief Communications Officer Amy Cairns told Patch.
The pedestrian was transported to Overlook Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, Cairns added.

The driver of an older model white Dodge Durango fled the scene, heading west on Mountain Avenue toward New Providence, the spokesperson said. Police believe the vehicle may be between a 2005 to 2010 model.
Summit police are seeking video or doorbell footage between 5:30 a.m. and 5:45 a.m. from Mountain Avenue residents in an attempt to identify the vehicle.
