Summit Police Seek Deforest Avenue Business Shoplifter

SUMMIT, NJ - Authorities are currently seeking a shoplifter who reportedly stole $130 worth of merchandise from a Summit business last week, authorities said.

The theft occurred at a Deforest Avenue storefront, Summit police said in a blotter statement. The incident was reported at around 7:06 a.m. on March 3.

The victim of the theft reported that video surveillance shows a female, wearing a jacket with a NY Giants logo, placing unpaid merchandise in a green bag. The suspect left the business without paying for the items, police said.

The total amount taken was approximately $130, police said.
