Students presented their favorite book to a teacher they selected during the National Merit Scholars presentation at February's Board of Education meeting.

Every year, Summit High School students who have been recognized for their outstanding performance on the PSAT select a staff member who has had a positive impact on them during their time in Summit. The students and the staff members were honored at February's Board of Education meeting where the students presented a book with a personalized inscription to their selected staff member.

"Being selected by Natalie is a true honor and one I won't forget! I have watched Natalie grow into a mature and dedicated young woman over the past 4 years. It has been a true pleasure having her in class and on the staff for the Verve. Now, as the Front Page editor, her hard work shines every month! When I found out Natalie chose me, I was eager to see what book she selected for me; she hit the nail on the head! I can't wait to read it! The event itself is such a cool experience for everyone involved; it's amazing to see all the students, their families and the different staff members who have impacted them throughout their time in Summit all come together to celebrate this wonderful achievement!" - Ms. Ashley Garcia
