Summit's Latest COVID Numbers Show Over 500 Positive Cases
An additional 245 positive cases have been reported between Dec. 23 and 29, according to the City of Summit.
SUMMIT, NJ — The Westfield Regional Health Department reported an additional estimated 245 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Summit from Dec. 23 to Dec. 29.
These new confirmed cases brings Summit's December total to 533 cases, according to Tapinto. This is more than six times greater than November's monthly total of 80 cases.
The City of Summit said it is likely that cases may be underreported for this time period, as this total does not reflect home test results and rapid test results. Additionally, some pop-up testing sites are not reporting into the statewide system.
