Final week of school for 2011: All grades will have single session on Friday, Dec. 23. School resumes on Tuesday, Jan. 3. Enjoy winter recess.

Elected officials orientation: On Monday, Newly elected city officials will partake in a workshop headed by the City Administrator to go over issues such as ethics. The orientation takes place from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30p.m. at .

Planning Board Meets: An advisory hearing, on Monday, will take place to discuss the construction of a roof for a bocce court at the rec center (). A site plan will be considered for a 16-unit building on Franklin Place. These issues and more will be on the agenda. Meeting starts at 8p.m.

Common Council Meets: On Tuesday, JCP&L's response to events surrounding the snow storm, the redevelopment of Two Walnut, and ordinance to "eliminate deputy, create captains and change promotion eligibilities" within the are among the topics to be discussed at the final Common Council meeting of 2011.
