Update: Fatal Tragedy In Union County Pool

A 5-year-old and a 3-year-old fatally drowned after climbing into a neighbor's yard tonight according to a tweet from News12, emergency radio reports and the Star-Ledger. The incident occurred sometime around 7p.m. in the 200 block of Parkside Drive in Union.

The initial emergency "rush" call to local EMS occurred around 6:52p.m. and described "two kids in a pool". According to a later radio report around 6:54p.m., the children were said to have been found "not breathing".

Union Township Police Director Dan Zieser told the Star-Ledger the children were rushed to  where they were pronounced dead around 8:15p.m.
