Labor Rights Week is a collaborative effort between embassies and their consulates with the department’s field offices to increase awareness and inform workers and employers about their rights and responsibilities under U.S. labor laws.

The department partners with many foreign consulates in the U.S. through its Consular Partnership Program, which was developed to educate workers and their employers about vital information on lawful payment of wages and workplace safety and health.
