SUMMIT, NJ — The National Weather Service is reporting a strong storm will hit the northeast Sunday night and continue into Martin Luther King Day.

The storm that will pass through Summit is expected to begin with a brief snowfall Sunday evening before changing over to a wintry mix and heavy rain. It is expected to last until Monday afternoon. Wind gusts of up to 40 mph are also expected.
