Man Stabs Self While Trying To Attack Another In Bergen County: Police
A Hackensack man, in an attempt to assault another man at a park, cut himself with a knife and required medical attention, police said.
HACKENSACK, NJ — A Hackensack man cut himself on his left thigh while trying to attack another man with a knife Sunday in Anderson Park. He then needed immediate help and was taken to an area hospital, Police Detective Lt. Michael Antista said.
The victim was not injured.
The alleged assailant, Jermaine Thompson, 39, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and weapons offenses. His injury is considered non-life threatening, Antista said.
