Anne Hathaway, Anthony Hopkins Movie Filming In Teaneck

Filming for the movie "Armageddon Time" began on Monday in Teaneck, the second film shooting in the township in as many weeks.

TEANECK, NJ — A steady stream of stars continues to come through Teaneck, this time with Anne Hathaway and Anthony Hopkins shooting for their new movie, "Armageddon Time", in the township.

The film is written and directed by James Gray, and, according to Deadline, will film primarily in New York. Joining Millburn native Hathaway in the cast are Jeremy Strong, Robert De Niro, Oscar Issac and Cate Blanchet, according to Focus Features.

However, filming will also take place in Teaneck in a house on Vandelinda Avenue, according to Deputy Mayor Mark Schwartz. NorthJersey.com caught a few photos of Hopkins during the first day of filming on Monday.

Scenes will be shot from Oct. 18 through Oct. 22, as well as Nov. 1 through Nov. 11 at a home on Vandelinda Ave between Palmer Ave and Palisade, according to Schwartz.

Shooting began on "Armageddon Time" just days after shooting for the movie "Bros" took place in Teaneck.

Billy Eichner is set to star in the movie, which features an entire main cast of openly LGBTQ+ actors, according to Eichner.

And according to Schwartz, these aren't the last films to be shot in Teaneck through the end of the year, with two others on the docket.
