Four cooling centers have been opened around Bergen County as the heat index is expected to soar, officials said. The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for Bergen County from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Heat coupled with humidity is expected to make it feel as hot as 104 degrees. Residents who need rides can call Community Transportation at (201) 368-5955.
