Bryant School Principal Retires

Three longtime Teaneck educators recently bid farewell to students and colleagues

The principal of Teaneck’s Bryant School has retired after 21 years with the school district, according to a report.

Elise Bourne-Busby was honored along with two other veteran Bryant School educators at a retirement dinner June 13, a report on NorthJersey.com said.

"I’d like to say I made a difference with children. I think it is significant that you can impact the lives of so many," Bourne-Busby told the Teaneck Suburbanite.

Bourne-Busby came to the district after working as at a Catholic school in Passaic. Before taking the top job at Bryant School, she also served as principal at Longfellow School. She emphasised daily reading and having parents read with their children, the report said.

Bryant School Teachers Carolyn Arkenau and Rosanne Ponchick also bid farewell to the school district. The tree educators gave more than 82 years of service to the district between in total.
