Cable Technician Sells Cocaine to Undercover Bergen County Detectives

The 24-year-old man was charged with one count of distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, namely cocaine.

A New York man is facing drug charges after authorities say he sold cocaine to undercover Bergen County detectives.

Joseph Caputo, 24, of Ozone Park, NY, was arrested after he allegedly distributed one ounce of suspected cocaine to undercover detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotic Task Force in exchange for $1,200 in Englewood on March 9, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said.

Caputo, a cable technician, was placed under arrest and was charged with one count of distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, namely cocaine, in a quantity greater than one-half ounce but less than five ounces, Molinelli said.

Bail was set at $25,000 with no ten percent option and Caputo was remanded to the Bergen County Jail in lieu of bail.
