Crews to Shut Down Water Supply in Section of Teaneck

Utility crews will shut down a 30-inch water main under River Road, leaving customers in the area without water service overnight starting Wednesday, according to a township email alert.

Customers west of River Road, from Cedar Lane to New Bridge Road, will be without water from at 8 p.m. Wednesday through Thursday at 8 a.m., an alert issued Tuesday said.

“United Water is notifying affected customers with notifications on their front doors,” the town’s message said.

A United Water spokesman did not immediately return a call for details Tuesday afternoon.
