Greenway Trail Cleanup Planned in Teaneck

Volunteers invited to help out Oct. 13.

The following news release was submitted by the Friends of the Greenway:

As part of its on-going commitment to maintaining Teaneck’s Hackensack River Greenway, the Friends of the Greenway is planning a morning of trail maintenance on a portion of the trail in Brett Park known as Mausner Meadow. The date is Sunday morning, October 13, from 10:00 to noon.

 This important work will include debris pick-up and invasives control.

Members of the community of all ages are encouraged to come out and help.  Everyone is welcome to join in this fun community activity.  Bring gloves, protective clothing, pruners and loppers.  Please call (201) 836-6494 if you have any questions.

A lot of planting has been done in this area in the last few years and we need to make sure trees and shrubs are protected.

Meet at the Hibiscus sign along Riverview Avenue near where the curb goes around the tree trunk.
