Jason Kidd Taps Teaneck-Native For Nets Post, Report Says

Lawrence Frank, a Teaneck-native, is set to join Jason Kidd’s staff as assistant coach with the Brooklyn Nets, a source told ESPN.com Thursday.

Frank, who graduated from Teaneck High School, coached the NBA All-Star Kidd during his time with the Nets, the report noted. Frank was the Detroit Pistons head coach until he was fired in April.

"There's a lot of people that have come out publicly saying that I need to get a seasoned staff, and that's what I'm looking at, people who maybe have been head coaches in this league or have been assistants and understand what it take to have some success so I can learn on the job,” Kidd told ESPN.
