Man Shot Out Window Of Car With Ex Inside, Teaneck Police Say
A man used a 9mm gun to shoot out the window of a car containing his ex, as well as 5 other people, while in Teaneck this month, cops said.
TEANECK, NJ — A 21-year-old man is in custody after shooting out the window of a car with his ex and five other people inside, police said.
Kawan Vining, of Hackensack, turned himself in to the Teaneck Police Department on Monday.
Teaneck Police were dispatched to Harding Avenue and Glenwood Avenue to investigate a report of shots fired in the area shortly before 4:30 a.m. on Jan. 2.

Officers were able to find a loaded 9mm Kel-Tec firearm in a nearby home, police said.
"Detectives were also able to determine that the firearm had been used by Kwan Vining to shoot out the rear window of a passing motor vehicle that contained six people, one of whom had been in a prior domestic relationship with Mr. Vining.," police said.

Teaneck police obtained warrants for Kawan Vining, as well as Alexander McFarland and Christian Williams, for their alleged roles in the shooting.
McFarland, 18, of the Bronx, was arrested the day of the shooting on a charge of second degree conspiracy-aggravated assault, and is still insi8de the Bergen County Correctional and Rehabilitation Center, police said.
Williams, 20, of the Bronx, is still being sought on the same charge, police said, as well as for hindering apprehension or prosecution.
Vining was charged with conspiracy-aggravated assault, six counts of aggravated assault, aggravated assault (domestic violence), unlawful possession of a handgun, tampering with physical evidence, endangering another person, and criminal mischief, police said.
