National Night Out, ‘Justice For Trayvon’ Vigil This Week
What to watch for this week in Teaneck

* Teaneck’s National Night Out celebration is Tuesday at Votee Park, starting at 5 p.m.
The community-wide celebration will feature games, giveaways, food and a host of special demonstrations by area rescue and law enforcement agencies. Some of the highlights include a military helicopter landing in the park between 5:30 and 6 p.m.
Other attractions will include: “a 25 foot high quad bungee trampoline, a train ride, an inflatable obstacle course, a 21 foot high inflatable slide, an army football toss game, two face painters, a visit from Batman and Darth Vader, a D.J., dancers, police horses, police dogs, a vehicle extrication demonstration, a military police armored M1117 vehicle, an army Humvee, a fire safety house and fire truck, a crime scene investigations truck, police motorcycles, a police bomb truck, a variety of culinary food options (kosher and non-kosher selections), free giveaways for the kids and more,” an announcement said.

* The Bergen County NAACP will host a “Justice for Trayvon” vigil at the Bergen County courthouse Wednesday at 7 p.m. More details are available here and www.bergennaacp.org
* An emergency preparedness information session is scheduled for Thursday at 7 p.m. at police headquarters, 900 Teaneck Road.
