Jonathan Melendez, of the Bronx, was arrested Friday and charged with two counts of aggravated assault and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child following an investigation after a woman brought two infants into Hackensack University Medical Center with multiple injuries, according to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella.
When the mother brought the twins in Wednesday, one of them appeared to be unresponsive and both had multiple fractures, as well as head trauma, Musella said.
