Resident Reports $18K Worth of Jewelry Taken in Teaneck Car Burglary

Cash, credit cards also reported stolen.

A car burglary in Teaneck reportedly netted $18,000 worth of jewelry, police reported Friday.

The Stuyvesant Road resident discovered her car was burglarized overnight and called officers shortly before 8 a.m. on Nov. 24., according to police. A credit card, debit card and $30 was also reported stolen along with the jewelry.

Two other car burglaries apparently proved less profitable for thieves. In one incident, an iPhone 5 was taken when the owner left the car unlocked and running outside the Best Stop Deli on Cedar Lane around 7 p.m. on Nov. 23., police reported.
