Walgreens pharmacy has submitted a zoning application to open in the former Louie's diner location and two adjoining properties on Cedar Lane, officials confirmed to Patch last week.
Details of the proposed drug store remained unclear as the zoning application has not been competed, but the pharmacy would be the third in the immediate area. Walgreens is eyeing a gas station next to Louie's and another vacant property next-door for the store, officials say.
Louie's announced it would close days after the Cedar Lane Cinemas shut down, leaving many merchants wondering how the closures would impact other struggling businesses.
