1 Injured After Race Car Overturns At Wall Stadium Speedway: NJ State Police

The accident occurred on Saturday after the car tried to make a left turn and lost directional control, police told Patch.

WALL, NJ — One person was injured after a race car lost control and overturned at Wall Stadium Speedway on Saturday, NJ State Police Trooper Christopher Postorino told Patch.

State police responded to the crash around 11:50 a.m. on Saturday at the speedway.

Based on a preliminary investigation, Postorino said a race car trying to make a left turn lost directional control and struck the guardrail, causing the car to overturn and hit a person by the track.

The person sustained moderate injuries and was brought to an area hospital, police said. No other injuries were reported.

Wall Stadium Speedway was not immediately available for comment when Patch reached out on Monday morning.

The crash remains under investigation, Postorino said. As of Monday morning, no additional information on the crash was available.
