2 Principals Placed On Leave In Wall Township

WALL, NJ — Superintendent Tracy Handerhan informed parents this week that two Wall Township principals have been placed on leave.

Separate letters stated that Wall Township High School Principal Rose Sirchio and Wall Intermediate School Principal Erin Embon would be on leave, but did not specify why.

“This email serves as an update regarding Wall High School's administration,” said the first letter, which was sent on Tuesday night. “Please be advised that while Mrs. Sirchio is on leave, Mr. Kevin Davis will serve as Acting Principal at Wall High School. If you have any questions about your child or this transition, please contact his or her guidance counselor.”

Parents then received yet another letter from Handerhan on Wednesday, alerting them of Embon's leave, which, like the previous one, makes no indication of the nature of the leave or whether it is paid or unpaid.

Wall Township Public Schools denied Patch's request for comment stating, “as always, Dr. Handerhan is not able to discuss any personnel matters.”

This news comes on the heels of the Wall football hazing scandal that resulted in a number of staff and student suspensions over the last few months.
