7 Staff Members On Administrative Leave In Wall School District

Seven additional staff members were placed on administrative leave during a board of education meeting on Tuesday.

WALL, NJ — The Wall Township Board of Education announced that seven additional staff members were placed on administrative leave during a meeting on Tuesday.

This comes after Superintendent Tracy Handerhan announced in early April that two Wall Township principals would be placed on leave as well.

The district has not stated whether the recent administrative leaves are related to the fall allegations of locker room hazing. Wall Township Public Schools stated we are "not able to discuss any personnel matters."

The staff members who were placed on leave were only identified by an employee number in the Wall Township School District's human resources report, which was released last week. There was no explanation or timeframe given during the meeting, and it's unclear whether the employees were suspended with or without pay.

The report also confirmed Kevin Davis as WHS Acting Principal and Tiffany Steiner as WIS Acting Principal as replacements for Principal Rose Sirchio and Principal Erin Embon.

This comes on the heels of the football team's investigation into several alleged hazing incidents in September and October. As a result of the investigation, seven students, as well as several coaches and the athletic director, were suspended.
