DWI Checkpoint Planned For Wall On Saturday Night

The Monmouth County DWI Task Force will be conducting checkpoints in Wall and Neptune City this weekend.

WALL, NJ — The Monmouth County DWI Task Force will be conducting checkpoints in Wall and Neptune City this weekend.

According to officials, the first checkpoint will be in Neptune City on Friday.

The checkpoint will start at 10 p.m. and run until 2 a.m. on Saturday morning. All northbound vehicles on Route 35 will be diverted at the Steiner Avenue intersection where drivers will be screened for sobriety.

The second checkpoint will take place in Wall Township on Saturday, officials said.

The checkpoint will begin at 10 p.m. and run until 2 a.m. on Sunday morning. All westbound vehicles on Route 138 will be diverted onto Maxwell Road, where drivers will be screened for sobriety.

"As always, the Task Force hopes all drivers will be responsible and use either a designated driver or an alternative means of transportation (taxi or ride-sharing option) if they plan on drinking this coming weekend," Monmouth County DWI Task Force Coordinator Michael Schneider said.
