Five Injured In Early Morning 3-Car Crash In Wall On Highway 138

Wall first responders removed one person trapped in a car, doused flames in another car after a crash involving three vehicles Wednesday.

WALL, NJ — After a three-car accident on Highway 138 Wednesday morning, emergency responders were able to free one person trapped in a car and extinguish the flames in another, as a total of five people were taken to the hospital for non life-threatening injuries.

At 6 a.m. Wednesday, police, fire and first aid responded to a three-vehicle crash at Highway 138 and Allenwood Road, police said.

One of the vehicles was on fire. The occupant of a second vehicle was trapped inside their vehicle, police said.

Police and EMS were able to safely get that occupant out of their vehicle while firefighters extinguished the flames on the other vehicle.

A total of five people were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The right two lanes of Highway 138 east were closed for approximately two hours while state Department of Transportation crews cleared the debris from the roadway, police said. The road has since reopened.
