Man Was Stealing From Mailboxes In Wall Neighborhood, Police Say

A man from New York was charged with theft of credit cards and property from the Pippen Drive area of Wall.

WALL, NJ — After residents on Pippen Drive reported a person acting suspiciously, police investigated and now a New York man is charged with theft from mailboxes in the area, police said.

Eric Covington, 41, of New York had stolen credit cards and other documents that were taken from mailboxes, police said.

After an investigation of the March 19 incident, Covington was charged with theft of credit cards, receiving stolen property and theft of moveable property.

He was processed and released with a future court date, police said.

Patrolman Kevin Wagner was the arresting officer, assisted by Detectives Honecker and Corso.
