Update: Teen Arrested In Overnight Car Burglaries In Wall

A 14-year-old from Asbury Park has been arrested in connection with car burglaries in a Wall neighborhood, police said.

WALL, NJ — A juvenile from Asbury Park was arrested in connection with car burglaries in the President Street area reported earlier Thursday, police said in an update.

In addition to being charged with thefts from the cars, the juvenile, 14, was also charged with theft of a bicycle the juvenile had at the time, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.

The police thanked residents for their assistance, and reminded them to lock their cars every night.

Police began the investigation Thursday morning of car burglaries in the President Street section off Belmar Boulevard.

The streets affected included Garfield, Grant, Lincoln streets and others, police said.
