Pool Job Never Done: Wall Charges Man With Theft By Deception
A Wall resident paid a Neptune man $4,000 for pool work that never happened, Wall police say.
WALL, NJ — A months-long Wall police investigation has ended with the arrest of Neptune man, charged with theft by deception in connection with a supposed pool repair.
On July 24, Matthew Lloyd, 28, of Neptune was charged with theft by deception, a third-degree offense, Wall police said.
The charge stems from an incident in which Lloyd is charged with taking a $4,000 payment from a Wall resident for work to on their pool - but never returned to do the work.

The investigation took several months to develop a suspect in the incident, Wall Capt. Chad Clark said.
Lloyd was arrested and released on summons. Patrolman Michael Cacciatore was the investigating officer.

The defendant was not an employee of a company.
No information was available about Lloyd's legal representation.
