Road Closures, Traffic Restrictions Planned For Tunnel To Towers 5K In Wall

WALL, NJ — Wall Township residents should be aware of road closures and traffic restrictions planned ahead of the Tunnel to Towers 5K event, Wall Township Police said.

On Sunday, the town will host the Tunnel to Towers Foundation’s Inaugural Jersey Shore 5K Run, which honors the first responders and military heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

To ensure the safety of all participants and spectators, police said temporary road closures and traffic restrictions will be in effect from 8:45-11 a.m. on Sunday.

Impacted areas will include:

  • Allaire Road (Route 34 to New Bedford Road)
  • Campbell Road
  • 18th Avenue (Allenwood Road to New Bedford Road)
  • Baileys Corner Road (18th Avenue to Allaire Road)
  • Celeste Drive & Concord Drive

The day of the event, police said there will also be no parking along the impacted streets between midnight and 12 p.m.

Wall Township Police and event staff will be on site to assist with traffic direction, detours and safety throughout the event.

“We appreciate your patience and cooperation as our community comes together for this meaningful cause,” Wall Police said.
