School Board Elections Uncontested In Wall

Incumbents have all filed to run for seats on the Wall Township Board of Education election on Nov. 8.

WALL, NJ — Two candidates have filed for the three, full-term seats open on the Wall Township Board of Education. The candidates who filed are all current school board members, including the current president Ralph Addonizio. There was no petition filed for the third full-term seat.

Here are the candidates who filed petitions this week:

  • James Maliff
  • Ralph Addonizio

There is one, two-year unexpired term for which the incumbent board member filed.

The candidate is:

  • Thomas Buffa

The list of candidates, filed on July 25, will not be official until after Sept. 6, as candidates may withdraw from the ballot before that date. New candidates may be placed on the ballot up until that date if new offices are to appear on the ballot, as provided by the school board administrator, said Monmouth County Assistant Supervisor for Elections Cassandra Achille.

The election for school board members is held on General Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 8. School boards have until Sept. 9 to submit a public question to appear on the Nov. 8 ballot, Achille added.
