Sobriety Checkpoint Planned For Wall On Friday

Drivers going west on Route 138 in Wall will be diverted for a DWI checkpoint on Friday night into early Saturday morning

WALL, NJ — The Monmouth County DWI task Force will be conducting a checkpoint on Friday, Oct. 27.

The checkpoint will be in Wall, from 10 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday.

All westbound vehicles on Route 138 will be diverted at Maxwell Road, where all drivers will be screened for their sobriety.

Members of the local police department will work alongside members of the DWI Task Force conducting this operation.

"In today's world, where there are so many other options available to drivers, there really is no excuse to get behind the wheel of the vehicle if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs," said Chief Michael Schneider, Allenhurst, Monmouth County DWI Task Force Coordinator.
