WALL, NJ — A local family-owned dental practice has collected over 675 pounds of candy to share with U.S. troops overseas.

Campi Dental, located on Route 35 in Wall Township, hosted its 20th Annual Candy Buy Back event after Halloween to collect candy for the troops, bringing together families, patients, volunteers, and community members for a day of fun, giving and meaningful impact.

At the event, attendees were encouraged to donate their Halloween candy in exchange for $1 per pound (up to five pounds) or to donate their cash to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, which honors and supports military and first responders by providing mortgage-free homes, adapting homes for injured veterans, and offering educational assistance for children of the fallen.

“After twenty years, the Candy Buy Back is always a heartwarming event, full of generosity and community spirit,” said Cheryl Campi, VP of Operations. “It’s a wonderful way for neighbors, patients, and team members to come together, share in a meaningful tradition, and show our appreciation for the brave men and women serving overseas.”

Each year, tables piled high with candy at the event serve as a tangible symbol of generosity, officials said, with hundreds of pounds collected and shipped overseas to give U.S. troops a sweet taste of home.

Marking its 20th anniversary, the event looks to celebrate the lasting impact of community participation and goodwill, having grown from a small, family-friendly initiative into a meaningful tradition that touches lives both near and far.

In addition to giving back, officials said the event also aims to encourage healthy habits, as by exchanging candy, participants reduce their sugar intake after Halloween, promoting positive family choices.

“The event truly highlights the care of our local community and dedication of Campi Dental,” said Michelle Mazur, patient and VP of Operations at Rizco. “It’s inspiring to see people come together to support a meaningful cause.”

A cornerstone of the Wall Township business community since 1993, Campi Dental has built a reputation for excellence in dental care while actively supporting important causes through its Campi Cares philanthropic initiative (which includes the Candy Buy Back event), officials said.

The initiative was born out of the long-standing tradition of giving back to the community and is today led by Campi Families with participation from the entire Campi Dental team.
