Williams attacked and killed his girlfriend with a machete in an apartment parking lot, as the woman's 3-year-old daughter sat nearby inside her mother's car, police said.
Wall Police were called to the Glen Oaks apartment parking lot at 9:22 a.m. May 23 and found the woman sitting on the ground, groaning and leaning against a black Honda Accord. She had several gashes on her face and her left arm was nearly severed above the wrist, according to an affidavit previously obtained by Patch. Authorities also found a machete nearby.

The woman, whose name was never released, was taken to a hospital trauma center, but she died there seven days later, on May 30.
Police say it was Williams himself who called 911 and said he had just killed "his girl" and that he was near Aspen Circle.
"I'm going to be compliant," he said, according to the affidavit. "Just come get me."
Another woman called 911 to report seeing a man attacking a woman while yelling, "you cheated on me, you cheated on me, you ---, you cheated on me," according to the affidavit.
The witness, who heard the commotion from her apartment, told police she thought the man was hitting the victim with a baseball bat. The witness got her boyfriend, who went out to check on the woman and found her leaning against a car, muttering something.
He ran to the management office to get help while the witness called 911, according to the affidavit.
While EMS members were helping the woman, Wall Police Sgt. Ed Lister found a man who fit the witness's description sitting on a bench, and asked if he had just gotten into a fight with his girlfriend.
The man, later identified as Williams, told the police officer he had "caught her cheating on me," according to the affidavit. He claimed the woman had two phones and repeated that he caught her cheating. Williams told police he had been in a relationship with the woman for seven months and said he suspected she had been cheating on him for a long time.
Williams did not admit to specifically stabbing the victim, but did admit making the 911 call and repeated his belief that she was cheating on him, the affidavit said.
At that point Williams was arrested. He has remained at the Monmouth County jail since.
It was not the first time Williams is accused of domestic violence against the woman he is accused of killing: Police were called to the woman's home in February of this year, where the victim said Williams had wrecked her home, stolen her phone and stopped her from leaving the residence or calling 911 during the dispute. Police said they saw obvious signs of damage throughout the home and scratches on the victim’s arms and hands.
