Roselle Man Picked Up on Warrants Exceeding $89,000
Watchung police add hindering apprehension to outstanding charges.

Watchung police charged Gerald Raymond, 48, of Roselle, with hindering arrest after stopping the vehicle he was driving on Somerset Street at 9:39 p.m. July 25.
Police initially stopped Raymond because he was driving on a suspended license, and an outstanding warrant issued by the Union County Sheriff's Office for $89,016 in unpaid support payments owed.
Raymond told police his name was John Brevard Jr. during the traffic stop, resulting in the hindering charge, authorities said.
He was turned over the the Somerset County Jail, pending transport to Union County.
