Watchung Student Completes Caldwell College Summer Program
Engy Gadelmawla earns three-credits in medicine, chemistry and mathematics program.

Engy Gadelmawla of Watchung was one of 47 high achieving high school students who successfully completed a 3-credit medicine, chemistry and mathematics summer pre-college program at Caldwell College.
The students displayed their final research projects and were honored at a closing celebration on July 23 on campus. Caldwell College President Dr. Nancy H. Blattner congratulated the students for their hard work and presented them with their certificates of accomplishment.
The Summer College at Caldwell (SCAC) program included workshops on various aspects of college life including financial aid, the college search, conflict resolution, SAT test-taking strategies and more. The students lived on campus for three weeks, took classes and went to labs. They also took day trips and excursions that related to their studies.

This was the third year that Caldwell College held the program, which was aimed at providing high achieving students who had just finished their junior year of high school with a comprehensive pre-college Science and Math program. SCAC is funded by the College Access Challenge Grant from the U.S. Department of Education through the NJ Commission on Higher Education and Caldwell College.
