Proceeds from their sale will support the non-profit's educational and community projects.
The MGAPC will have annuals, perennials, vegetables, herbs, house plants, hanging baskets, and Rutgers-grown tomatoes available for purchase — as well as unique and carnivorous plants, and soil test kids. There will also be a kids' education table with craft activities for budding horticulturalists.
The non-profit Friends of Laurelwood Arboretum are holding one of their plant sales this weekend, as well. This group's mission is to preserve the park and promote educational awareness through educational programming, outreach activities, and community engagement.
The Laurelwood Arboretum sale will be held both Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the 30-acre public park, located at 725 Pine Lakes Drive West in Wayne.
Their collection of offerings includes succulent arrangements, container gardens for the porch and patio, hanging baskets, and various gifts for the special women who we will celebrate on Mother's Day. You'll also find native grasses, perennials, shrubs and trees as well as special plants grown in the arboretum greenhouse.
Members will get a 10 percent discount on their purchase, with proceeds supporting the Friends of Laurelwood Arboretum.
