3 'EPIC' Dances Coming Up For Adults With Special Needs In Wayne

These inclusive events provide a place for people with unique abilities to express themselves and have fun.

WAYNE, NJ — Adults of all abilities can dance the night away at three upcoming events in Wayne.

The E.P.I.C. (Every Person Included Counts) program started at the Wayne YMCA for people with developmental and physical disabilities, and the group has organized a several dance events in the past.

Now that Wayne Township has taken ownership of the building at 1 Pike Drive, the Department of Parks and Recreation has several E.P.I.C. events on the calendar.

The first is the Snowflake Soiree on Friday, Jan. 17 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Then, the Sweetheart Dance will return from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 21 and there will be a Spring Fling from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on March 21, also a Friday.

All three dances are free of charge and open to the public (18+ only). Food and crafts will also be set up at the events.
