Trucks, Car Collided On Highway Before Fuel Spill In Wayne Monday: State Police

State police said a tractor-trailer, a dump truck, and a passenger vehicle collided along I-80, causing diesel fuel to spill on the roadway.

WAYNE, NJ — A crash involving a tractor-trailer and a dump truck caused diesel fuel to spill onto Route 80 westbound near Exit 53 in Wayne on Monday, according to officials.

State police said minor injuries were reported in the collision, which took place around 2:07 p.m. Part of the highway was closed into the evening rush hour, just west of the exit for State Route 23 and U.S. 46.

A passenger vehicle was also involved, said New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron.
