WAYNE, NJ — A fast-growing dumpling chain that has impressed Rachael Ray and The Wendy Williams Show is slated to open in the Willowbrook Mall. Brooklyn Dumpling Shop has dozens of dumpling flavors, which will become available in New Jersey.

Some of the unique dumpling concepts include pastrami, Philly cheesesteak, lamb gyro with tzatziki, mac and cheese, impossible burger and Maryland crab cake.

Brooklyn Dumpling Shop set up its first location in New York City last year and has rapidly expanded since. The fast-casual chain's New Jersey presence will also include eateries in Montclair and New Brunswick.

Some big names have tried the dumplings and approved. Celebrity cook Rachael Ray enjoyed their pastrami and bacon cheeseburger creations. Brooklyn Dumpling Shop owners Robert Cummings and Stratis Morfogen also showed rappers Fat Joe and Remy Ma how to make dumplings on The Wendy Williams Show.

Tom Graziano, who will own the Willowbrook location, says there's still a lot of work to do on the new shop. But he hopes to get Brooklyn Dumpling Shop open by mid-summer. Graziano owns several other eateries in the mall, including Wetzel’s Pretzels and Charley’s Philly Steaks.
