'Colonial Christmas' Returns At Washington's Headquarters In Wayne
Guests can shop for colonial crafts, enjoy live historic music, meet re-enactors who will be providing demonstrations, and more.

WAYNE, NJ — For the first time since 2019, Dey Mansion Washington's Headquarters will welcome residents from across New Jersey to experience a Colonial Christmas.
The historic home in Wayne Township will be transformed for the holiday season, and full of the sights and sounds of Christmas in the 18th century. Guests can shop for colonial crafts, enjoy live historic music, meet re-enactors who will be providing demonstrations, and more.
General George Washington made this house his headquarters twice during the Revolutionary War, and it was built around 1770.

Dey Mansion will be closed until the opening event on Thursday, Dec. 12, with festivities running through Jan. 5, 2025.

- Enjoy wine, cheese, and holiday vibes in a stunning historic setting with music by the Larry Stevens Band.

Festive Lecture & Music
- Friday, December 13 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Open House Weekend
- Saturday and Sunday, December 14-15 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Colonial Christmas with live demonstrations and special events.
Dey Mansion is located at 199 Totowa Road in Wayne.
During the holiday season, the mansion is open to visitors Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to a news release.
